Collective Practise

We are a group of artists based in Whangarei, we work across a range of media including paper, ceramics, textile, printmaking, sculpture, installation and performance. We meet regularly and like to talk about contemporary issues in art and society and how these impact our practice.

We are; Catherine Davies-Colley, Ros May, Alex Moyse, Jolene Pascoe, Angela Rowe, and Linette van Greunen.

Cut with the kitchen knife

Our up coming exhibition is titled ‘Cut with the kitchen knife‘, it’s a bit of a nod to a collage by Hannah Höch, the German Dada artist who was wellknown for her photomontages.

In an essay that accompanies our exhibition, Angela Rowe uses Höch’s collage to connect the themes and ideas that underpin the work of Catherine Davies-Colley, Ros May, Alex Moyse, Jolene Pascoe, and Linette van Greunen.
